At Glenallen School, our curriculum is shaped by our values of respect, communication, learning and teamwork. These values guide everything we do and ensure that students are supported to access the full curriculum in ways that are meaningful, inclusive and engaging.

The primary and secondary departments deliver the Victorian Curriculum 2.0, from Foundation Level A. Curriculum aligned topics are delivered at each student’s individual stage of learning to ensure meaningful access and engagement.

The Transition department follows the Victorian Pathways curriculum, which provides flexible options tailored to future learning and transition goals. Students may choose to complete the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) with a focus on work related skills or complete an alternate pathway designed to extend their learning through continued engagement in key subject areas.

Each student is supported in their learning by a transdisciplinary team that includes a teacher, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, and additional support staff. Every student has an individual education plan, developed in collaboration with parents, teachers and the class therapy team. These plans are reviewed each term through student support group meetings, ensuring goals remain relevant and progress is closely supported.

Classroom based learning is enhanced by a wide range of extracurricular activities including incursions, excursions, camps, structured workplace learning, community access, riding for the disabled, and inter school sports.
