The Primary School provides a quality, inclusive education for students aged 4.8 to 12 years.
A stimulating, active learning environment is provided in which individual student’s learning needs and styles are catered for and developed. A holistic curriculum is provided based upon AusVELS, Essential Learning Skills, Intensive Interaction, principles of Conductive Education and sensory programs.
The daily learning program includes the development of communication, literacy and numeracy skills, personal and social learning, physical skills and ICT. Many students use Augmentative and Alternate Communication.
Throughout the school year extracurricula activities are organised including excursions, incursions, special events and camps. These support and reinforce learning outcomes and are linked to the curriculum.
Transition Programs are offered for students commencing and moving through the school to support the student’s educational journey.
Students enjoy the stimulation of and interaction with a range of learning spaces including a new and exciting external playground, an internal courtyard, sensorimotor room, multisensory room and reading resource room.
The Primary School community continually develops self esteem and celebrates the success of all students.
